Orkeny's Highland Park distillery introduced a trio of Travel Retail market bottlings in 2018, with names based off of creatures important in Viking lore. This particular expression is the Loyalty of the Wolf, a 14 year old single malt drawn from sherry-seasoned American oak casks.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Toasted bread with marmalade, red apple, some punchy peat hints.
Palate: Barley, thyme honey and more marmalade. Smoke lingers in the background. Some Christmas spices give it heat.
Finish: Pecan, dry peat and cinnamon sticks.
