Highland queen 30Y 700ML 40%VOL
A limited edition expression from the Highland Queen range, produced in celebration of the brand's 120th anniversary. This blend is made using malt and grain whiskies (with a high percentage of malt) all over 30 years old, which were blended and then allowed to marry for 6 months in Sherry butts. The "1561" in the name is a reference to Mary Queen of Scots, whom the brand is named after.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Creamy with vanilla and caramel aplenty, followed by a touch of old leather.
Palate: Citrus starts to pick up on the palate, alongside malty vanillas and a waft of wood smoke.
Finish: Long and quite spicy with cinnamon sticks.
